Enjoy a fun celebration for all ages, ending with Rotary fireworks show

This year's Stonetown Heritage Festival (July 11 to 13) promises a Saturday filled with a diverse range of live entertainment options for everyone to enjoy!

“We have something for everyone at this year's festival," says Morgan Easton, Town of St. Marys Tourism and Events Coordinator. "From incredible local musicians to captivating street performers, we want to make sure there's never a dull moment!"

The intersection of Queen St. and Water St. will showcase demonstrations and performances throughout the day. Bex in Motion, a hula hoop and comedy artist, will return this year due to popular demand. Additionally, there will be entertainment provided with a magician stilt walker, made possible through the generosity of McLean Taylor Construction Ltd.  In addition to these performers, youngsters can enjoy a downtown Kids Zone that will include inflatables, face painting, and various activities from the Town of St. Marys EarlyON Centre, the St. Marys Museum, and the St. Marys Public Library.

Taking place at Milt Dunnell Field is the St. Marys Farmers’ Market, running from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon). Browse a wide range of local produce and fresh foods brought to you by local farmers, as well as craft products created by members of the community.

Make sure to check out the performance stage, where talented young musicians from The World’s Coolest Music Store will showcase their talent.

Downtown will be the place to be on the Saturday evening of the festival, as a concert featuring wonderful local acts will take the stage. Grace San Andres (jazz) will kick-off the show, followed by Frank St. Germain and Friends (rock band), generously sponsored by Troyer’s Spices, MeganBrady (duo), and Max Smith (country) who will rock the evening away as the sun sets.

Following the concert, the Rotary Fireworks will light up the sky around dusk (approximately 10:00 p.m.). The fireworks will be set off from the Grand Trunk trestle, and St. Marys Rotarians will be present in the area with donation buckets to help support the display expenses.

The full festival schedule is available at www.discoverstmarys.ca/festival; watch for more details as the dates approach!
