Changes to Stonetown Heritage Festival schedule due to inclement weather

The weather may not be cooperating, but that doesn’t mean that Heritage Festival fun has to end!

The following changes have been made to the event schedule:

Cancelled

  • Kids Zone inflatables
  • Some Queen/Wellington Street performers including Thomson Martial Arts, the World’s Coolest Musicians, The Yoga Chapple, St. Marys Community Players, St. Marys Filipino Community and Johnny B Acoustic
  • Heritage Walking Tours
  • Horse and wagon rides at Milt Dunnell Field
  • Downtown Vendor Marketplace

Location Changes

  • The Riverview Art Walk will move to Riverwalk Commons (84 Water St. S) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • The Kids Zone face painting, St. Marys Public Library, St. Marys Museum, Museum of Archaeology and EarlyON activities will move to the Town Hall auditorium (175 Queen St. E) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Alysha the Hula Hoop performer and stilt-walker Nick Nets will move to the Town Hall auditorium from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Live music from York Street Thought Process, Bone Radlers and Roy’s Garage will move from Milt Dunnell Field to the Town Hall auditorium from 5:00 to 9:30 p.m. Live music at the Army and Navy Bavarian Gardens will move indoors.
  • Food trucks will move in front of Town Hall

What will continue as planned?

  • St. Marys Farmers’ Market at Milt Dunnell Field from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Free shuttle service stopping at the Pyramid Recreation Centre, Town Hall and Milt Dunnell Field from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
  • Heritage Bus Tours from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Doors Open Sneak Peek at 14 Church St. from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Northern Journey, an exhibition by Lionel Venne at the Station Gallery from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

An update about the Rotary Club fireworks will be posted to the Town’s social media accounts at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Any further updates will be posted to the Town website (townofstmarys.com), Facebook page (facebook.com/stmarysontario) and Instagram account (instagram.com/townofstmarys) as soon as they are available.
